New Video! People seem to like this one

When asked what I’ve been up to in the past year, I’m always disappointed with my answer – it’s hard to put experiences into words. Last year for spring semester I had the incredible experience of traveling for 4 months through South America with some of the most spectacular, happy people I’ve ever encountered… a video to accompany my explanation might be fitting:
It’s just a snippet at the moment, but I’m working on a mini-documentary, which will be a lot more exciting and extensive — It’s just getting harder and harder to find time! Gosh.
Anyway, if you ever get the chance to explore South America, it will seriously — change your life. I went through the program Carpe Diem. Too good for words.
So I kind of thought that a road trip was a lot of sitting in a car and watching world go by, but apparently that doesn’t have to be the case. It’s been incredible, we’ve been on the road for about a week now, but I feel like I’ve seen and experienced more of America in that time than in all my other travels. This music video forces us out of our car and into the world…
Two days ago we came upon this silent pueblo — almost eerie actually, midday and nobody in sight — but every house, road, and moment was incredibly stark and beautiful. An ancient fence, uneven, spiked in the ground, stabbing skyward. And a post on the road simply stating: “Meeting tonight, 6:30.”
The moment we got out of the car an old man stepped onto his porch and stood in his doorframe — “The problem with you white people, you don’t read. You come from the main road and come to take pictures, you don’t read the signs.” On our way back to the highway, we passed the sign. In small print – “No video, no photos, no drawings. Protected Indian Community.” American History… in my life. Me, Michi, and the Scotsman were kicked off an Indian Reservation – one of the more sobering moments of our trip so far, but in its own way, incredible.
Videos are going to be delayed in the coming — it takes free time to edit them, and that rarely seems to come… Days 1-3:
I was just up at Vassar for a week, seeing friends and professors, as well as shooting some footage for College Relations. They liked the Youtube vid I made with KVD and wanted to use some of the footage in an upcoming celebratory video for Vassar’s 150th anniversary! I just had to reshoot it in HD…
I asked if I could post that footage on my website to show people, and they said yes! So here’s what I shot:
It was really nice to be back on campus, albeit a little strange since I’ve been out of school for a while… but seeing people (and getting paid) was great!
Keep on keepin on Vassar! Can’t wait to be back.
Oi! What a welcome… within the first minute of driving into Brooklyn, I got in my first car accident.
It was totally my fault, didn’t see a red. -dumb- Luckily nobody was hurt and both cars were only minorly damaged. So road trip – still a go!
More on that later, but for the moment:
