Hello, I’m Alex Levy. You hopefully get a pretty good idea of who I am by looking at some of my artwork. I’ve devoted a lot of time and energy into making what you see on this site. I do these things – paint, draw, make movies – mostly just to entertain and challenge myself. I hate being bored, and I found most of the conventional forms of teenage entertainment bore me – tv, video games, drinking. So I write a movie instead. My doctor tells me it’s a pretty healthy lifestyle. But I do make an effort to direct my energy into something productive. Creating something that you didn’t think yourself capable of is extremely gratifying. I wouldn’t say I’m an exceptionally driven person. There are people born with a given purpose, a focus that propels them to create and excel, to become artists and musicians and athletes and lawyers and historians. I’m not one of those people. But I am a genuinely curious, happy, earnest, and occasionally honorable person, but who’s counting? I like making stuff, usually of the artistic variety, and that’s pretty much the brunt of it.
I am one of three boys, one older, one younger. I currently attend Vassar College and have yet to declare my major, though it will likely involve Film. I am 6’2”, bearded, I have two cats, and two loving parents.
