Film

My film career started when I starred in my older brother’s first short film as Indiana Jones, Batman, and James Bond – an epic introduction to the possibilities of film. Since then, I have worked on over thirty short films and now go by the title of "filmmaker."

During high school I received a lot of recognition for my filmmaking and during senior year won a number of awards, namely a silver award from National Foundation for the Advancement of the Arts' Young Arts program. This culminated in my being named a Presidential Scholar in the Arts for Cinema, one of twenty nationwide. I received this honor with a sense of added responsibility to myself to take on filmmaking with more vigor and ambition, and hopefully create something meaningful to share with the world.

To be honest, I have very little experience in the professional world of film. More than other art forms, film is vibrantly active within the public’s view and has a vast and immediate audience, giving it enormous power to influence and inspire. With my journey as a filmmaker, I’ve spent time deciding the manner I would like to work in a medium with so much potential. My experience in the professional world of film is minimal, but I’ve made over twenty short-films on my own and continue to explore the world of independent filmmaking.
